CONCERT: Robert Aeberhard performs Sounds That Shouldn’t Be There
As part of Pekka Niskanen’s and Robert Aeberhard’s exhibition ‘Sounds that shouldn’t be there’ at Photographic Gallery Hippolyte in Helsinki, sound artist Robert Aeberhard performs a short concert with usually inaudible and unwanted sounds. The concert is followed by an artist talk with the creators of the exhibition, Pekka Niskanen and Robert Aeberhard.
These sound-phenomenons were gathered as field recordings in Paris, Berne and Geneva or they are created live with various devices. By turning them into audible sounds and playing them in a musical context, Robert Aeberhard opens up a universe of sound that usually escapes human perception.
Welcome!
