Western neo-colonialism presents a challenge for Burma and the Philippines. As its consequence, South-East Asians have become cheap and sought after labor also for cruise ships. Tourism to the Antarctic would not even be possible without Asian migrant workers on the cruise ships. The workers, flown in from South East Asia, live almost half of the year on board the ships. They call Antarctica the emptiness, the \u201dnowhere\u201d place.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nHippolyte Studio<\/strong><br \/>\n<a title=\"3.\u201326.5.2013, Morten Torgersrud: Circulating Sites\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hippolyte.fi\/morten-torgersrud-circulating-sites\/?lang=en\"><strong>Morten Torgersrud: Circulating Sites<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe landscapes of the northern parts of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia are the background for Circulating Sites. This region has over the last decades been through major political-economical changes and is now also defined across national borders \u2013 such as the Barents region or S\u00e1pmi.
