The exhibition asks a question that has no answer: \u201cWhat do we long for?\u201d Mainly, its bent is anthropological with leanings toward clan (artists, dealers) or tribe (collectors, curators, museums). The work intends to shed light on a set of social and economic relations within the art world that usually go unspoken. &#8221; &#8211; <em>Bill Burns<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/546786812116823\/\">Facebook event<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Bill Burns\u00a0<\/strong>is a Canadian artist\u00a0<span class=\"st\">whose work has been exhibited <\/span>widely, including at MoMA, the Stedelijk in Amsterdam, Seoul Museum of Art in Korea, ICA in London, and KW in Berlin. <em>The Bill Burns Show<\/em> is the second exhibition in a collaboration launched in 2013 between Photographic Gallery Hippolyte and the Saari Residence. Saari Residence is a residence programme for artists and researchers maintained by the Kone Foundation. Burns worked at the residence in 2012.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Curator <strong>Taru Elfving<\/strong>, Ph.D., from FRAME is responsible for the foundation\u2019s domestic and international event production. Elfving has previously worked as the Programme Director for HIAP (Helsinki International Artist Programme) and a freelance curator and researcher in London.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Marja-Terttu Kivirinta, <\/strong>Ph.D.,<strong>\u00a0<\/strong> is an art critic, journalist and author of non-fiction books. Kivirinta worked as a staff writer for 28 years in the cultural section of the daily newspaper Helsingin Sanomat.
