The Finnish Museum of Photography<\/strong> and the Association of Photographic Artist’s<\/strong> present the Finnish Photobook Award for the ninth consecutive year.<\/p>\n The finalists of the Photobook Award 2025 are: The finalists were chosen by a jury that included Sakari Tervo<\/strong>, founder of the exhibition space Pitted Dates and university lecturer (Aalto University), and Mariia Niskavaara<\/strong>, writer and curator (Espoo Museum of Modern Art EMMA).<\/p>\n The award winner will be chosen by\u00a0Emma Bowkett<\/strong>, photography director at FT Weekend Magazine, as well as a photography curator and assistant lecturer at the London College of Communication (LCC).<\/p>\n The winner will be announced at a public event on Thursday 23rd of April 2026<\/strong>\u00a0 from 5pm to 7pm<\/strong> at the Photographic Gallery Hippolyte\u00a0 (Yrj\u00f6nkatu 8\u201310, courtyard).<\/p>\n The winner and finalists will receive monetary prizes: 2000\u20ac for the winner and 500\u20ac for each finalist.<\/p>\n The aim of the Photobook Award is to encourage the creation of high-quality photobooks and to raise public interest in the photobook as an art form. The award is granted to a Finnish photographer or a photographer residing in Finland for a photobook published in 2025. The award highlights the photobook as a distinct mode of photographic art and as an independent work of art.
